The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for managing all facets of the business including (but not limited to) sales, manufacturing, quality assurance, marketing, product development, procurement, long range and strategic planning, annual execution of plans, development of annual budgets, streamlining the supply chain and most importantly attaining expected profitability. Reporting to the Board, the CEO is the visionary for the company and is charged with maximizing shareholder value, aligning the key strategies with the Board and ensuring the practice of sound financial management. He/She is also responsible for developing leadership talent to execute the company’s plans and to provide long-term success. This CEO will play a pivotal role in the next chapter of the company’s success focused on new investment and new business opportunities.
This individual must have a minimum of 15 years of steel industry experience, and have assumed the position of President, or General Manager of a Business Unit, in a mini mill, integrated, or service center business. The ideal candidate will have had experience in manufacturing operations before entering general management. This executive will have been in a leadership position for a business which has successfully re-invigorated its operations, culture, products and customer base.
