Position Summary:

The Vice President, Sales & Business Development reports to the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, leading the company’s commercial expansion and evolution toward a more systematic growth platform. This is a builder role, responsible for personally driving outbound sales, opening new specialty retail formats, and expanding the company’s geographic footprint while defining scalable go-to-market playbooks, customer segmentation, and sales discipline. The role begins as a highly hands-on commercial leadership position and evolves to include building and leading an outbound sales team, institutionalizing analytics and infrastructure, and supporting the commercial execution of future acquisitions.
 
The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of progressive sales experience, ideally within specialty food, natural foods, or value-added distribution, with a proven track record as a hands-on seller who leads from the front. This execution-oriented commercial leader has demonstrated success opening new accounts, entering new customer segments or geographies, and embedding a “hunter” sales culture that delivers sustained revenue growth. An entrepreneurial mindset, strong customer-facing credibility, and the ability to translate field-level selling into repeatable, scalable processes are essential.
