John Ratliff is an Executive Vice President with Slayton Search Partners and a key contributor to the firm’s Consumer and Industrial practices. John joined the firm in 2018 as a Vice President & Principal and has progressively expanded his responsibilities and impact. He leads senior-level searches for Fortune 500, family-owned, and private equity-backed organizations, with expertise spanning general management, finance, sales, marketing, end-to-end supply chain, human resources and technology. He has built deep client relationships and is frequently called upon to help organizations navigate complex leadership challenges, succession planning and organizational transformation. John also partners closely with clients on leadership hires tied to growth, operational improvement and value creation initiatives.
Prior to joining Slayton Search Partners, John worked with Stanton Chase International, where he developed and executed executive search engagements across consumer products, industrial products & services, engineering & construction and technology sectors. He began his career in third-party logistics, ultimately growing into a commercial leadership role for a major freight brokerage organization.
John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Investment and Banking from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is also certified in Client Relationship Management through the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC).
