John Ratliff joined Slayton Search Partners in 2018 as a Vice President & Principal and was promoted to Senior Vice President & Principal in 2022. He has been a key contributor to the firm’s consumer and industrial practices. John has successfully led a variety of senior-level searches for Fortune 500, family-owned, and private equity-backed organizations. His success in recruiting executive leaders across functional disciplines positions him strategically to address client challenges and expand Slayton’s market presence.
Before joining the firm, John thrived at Stanton Chase International, where he developed and executed search work across leadership functions for Consumer Products, Industrial, Engineering & Construction, and Technology Organizations. He began his career in third-party logistics, where he advanced to head a strategic capacity sales team for a leading freight brokerage.
John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Investment, and Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. John is certified in Client Relationship Management through the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC).
