A privately held, full-service commercial construction firm providing general contracting and construction management services to clients in healthcare, life sciences, multifamily and other complex building markets. |
Sustained growth and a shift toward larger, more technically complex projects expanded the firm’s exposure across owner contracts, subcontractor relationships and insurance programs, making a unified, enterprise-level approach to risk essential to protecting margins and supporting sound project decisions.
The Head of Risk Management oversees the company’s insurance programs, claims and litigation management and contractual risk mitigation. They report to the Chief Financial Officer and lead a team of insurance and contracts staff. This executive directs subcontractor prequalification and compliance, guides owner contract negotiations on risk allocation and indemnification, and delivers risk reporting and analysis that inform leadership decisions.
Our placement is an accomplished risk management executive with more than three decades of experience across construction, real estate, private markets and the public sector. Most recently, they built the risk function for a leading alternative asset manager’s real assets platform, directing insurance strategy for large-scale data center developments. Their command of contractual risk transfer and claims, paired with a collaborative, process-driven style, made them a strong fit for our client.
