The President of Commercial Markets will lead the strategy, product direction and financial performance of the organization’s Commercial lines of business. This executive will hold full P&L accountability for a $6.5B+ portfolio serving more than 3 million members across Individual ACA, Group Fully Insured, Group ASO, TPA, Stop Loss, Dental and Vision offerings. The role will translate market strategy into product innovation, go to market execution and sustainable financial performance while leading portfolio prioritization, pricing strategy and product lifecycle management. Partnering closely with leaders across strategy, finance, operations and marketing, the President of Commercial Markets will drive growth, retention and profitability across one of the organization’s most impactful business segments.
Our placement brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across commercial health insurance underwriting, pricing and financial management, most recently served as AVP, Head of Underwriting and A&U Systems for a leading Blue Cross Blue Shield organization. In this role, he led underwriting execution and systems strategy across a $2B Commercial portfolio with accountability for approximately $600M in underwriting margin across multiple market segments and 2,500+ customers. He demonstrated strong expertise in pricing strategy, risk management and financial performance while partnering closely with actuarial, sales and executive leadership teams to support growth, product development and operational execution. Earlier in his career, he held progressive leadership roles across underwriting, analytics and strategic pricing, building deep experience in financial modeling, forecasting, portfolio management and commercial market strategy within highly regulated healthcare environments.
