Our client is a diversified platform in the life sciences and diagnostics sector, offering mission-critical products that support laboratories, healthcare providers and manufacturers worldwide. It operates under private equity ownership. |
Recently, new private equity ownership acquired our client, marking a new chapter of growth and operational transformation. The organization had evolved into a global platform through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. As it expanded across life sciences, diagnostics and adjacent sectors, it required enhanced financial oversight, creating the need for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to build a robust FP&A function capable of navigating a complex, multi-site and multi-system environment.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director, FP&A leads development of the FP&A function within a rapidly evolving private equity-backed environment, serving as a strategic advisor on financial planning, forecasting and operational performance management. This leader partners with commercial and operations leadership to build reporting cadence and refine business analytics, establishes scalable FP&A infrastructure, supports acquisition integration and meets ownership reporting requirements while mentoring a high-performing team focused on analytics, accountability and growth.
Our placement is a finance leader with more than two decades of experience spanning financial planning and analysis, corporate finance and corporate development across public and private equity-backed organizations. Most recently they served as the finance lead within a corporate development function, where they partnered closely with the Chief Financial Officer on acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments and capital deployment, bringing rigor to valuation and executive decision support. Earlier in their career they built and led enterprise FP&A organizations, directing forecasting, budgeting, cash flow planning and management reporting across a large portfolio of global business units, and developed restructuring and liquidity models that steered leadership through periods of significant financial pressure.
