Position Summary
The Chief Research & Development Officer is responsible for leading the Global technical R&D strategy, vision, and direction for current and new products, including building, developing, and leading a world-class, high-performing R&D team.
This executive will lead the R&D team in designing and executing the current and future-focused R&D strategy, planning, and approach to optimize growth of the company, including the identification of emerging technology, trends and opportunities.
Successful Placement
Our placement is a global R&D and general management executive with more than two decades of experience across major consumer products companies. Most recently, they served as Senior Vice President of Research, Development and Excellence and Chief Technology Officer for a large privately held consumer products company, leading a globally dispersed R&D organization and repositioning it as a strategic business partner. Earlier in their career, they held full P&L responsibility as President and CEO of a North American division, turning around a declining business to deliver double-digit sales growth, and led global R&D for a multibillion-dollar dairy products business, driving significant sales, margin and profit growth during their tenure.
