Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a credible, knowledgeable, and trusted resource to the Chief Executive Officer and must be a transformational leader who will partner with the CEO and the senior leadership team to offer quality, meaningful analyses, and financial perspectives necessary for driving corporate decisions and impacting the future growth and development of the organization. It is also critical that the successful candidate act as a key liaison to the company’s leadership teams as well as partners, shareholders, and reinsurers of the organization. They will also strengthen the leadership and visibility of the accounting/finance function internally and across the broader organization.
The ideal candidate for this role will have over ten years of financial accounting and reporting experience in the Life or Annuity insurance industry. Experience with regulatory reporting combined with advanced working knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, reinsurance, and the analysis and reporting of financial data is required. Advanced working knowledge of products and concepts relating to the financial services industry, including financial instruments, financial management, insurance principles, and cash and capital principles, is also required.
