The Chief Executive Officer will report to the Board of Directors and lead a large, mission-driven health insurance organization through a pivotal period of operational transformation, financial recovery and enterprise renewal. This executive will be accountable for overall strategy, financial performance, organizational leadership and stakeholder confidence, leading a workforce of more than 2,600 employees. Near-term priorities include improving Medicare Advantage performance, advancing a multi-year Epic migration and strengthening operational discipline across the enterprise.
The role carries significant impact across technology, regulatory, commercial and community priorities. The next CEO will be expected to stabilize and strengthen organizational culture, align the senior leadership team around clear execution priorities and advance the company’s position as a leading regional healthcare institution serving members, employers, providers and communities.
The ideal candidate will bring significant executive leadership experience within a complex health insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield plan or integrated payer organization, including direct accountability for financial performance, enterprise operations and large-scale transformation. This leader will combine a sophisticated understanding of health plan economics, government programs, provider dynamics and regulatory complexity with the ability to build trust and credibility with the Board, regulators, providers, community leaders and internal teams.
