The Vice President of Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) will serve as the enterprise leader responsible for developing and advancing the organization’s safety, health and environmental strategy across a 24/7 export terminal and a geographically dispersed grain handling network. Reporting to executive leadership, this executive will establish a best-in-class safety culture, build scalable SHE systems and strengthen regulatory compliance while partnering closely with operations to embed safety as a core organizational value. The role carries significant enterprise impact through enhancement of safety performance, risk mitigation, environmental stewardship and workforce engagement while ensuring operational excellence across complex industrial and transportation environments.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive safety and environmental leadership experience within grain handling, agribusiness, bulk commodities or other heavy industrial operations. This leader combines deep expertise in OSHA compliance, hazard identification, incident investigation and multi-site safety management with a proven track record of building safety cultures, leading organizational change and partnering effectively with executive leadership and frontline teams. Experience with grain handling operations, combustible dust hazards and terminal or rail environments is highly preferred, along with a hands-on leadership style that builds trust, drives accountability and delivers sustainable improvements in safety and environmental performance.
