Position Summary:
The Head of Commercial Banking, California is responsible for developing and executing the regions strategic plan while leading the team’s efforts to meet annual growth and customer retention targets. This leadership role will have full P&L responsibility and oversee the growth and development of the group’s middle market and corporate portfolios along with the sponsor finance vertical in California, while also focusing on deposit and treasury management growth, maintaining credit quality consistently, and adhering to regulatory compliance. The individual is expected to be the face of the region and highly involved across the market.
Our placement has over 30 years of experience and has established himself as a leader in the banking industry, taking a solutions-based, client-focused approach to his work. He has deep knowledge in all aspects of credit, deposit and treasury management products. In his most recent role, he ran the business banking segment, focused on clients with $5 to $50 million in revenue. His region was made up of 11 markets and a team of roughly 300 full-time employees.
