Private Equity-Backed $1B+ Global Industrial Services Platform

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Chief Executive Officer will report directly to the private equity sponsor and Board of Directors of this $1B+ revenue, 5,000+ employee global industrial platform. Operating across services and manufacturing with a footprint spanning North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific, the company is entering a critical phase of transformation and value creation.
 
Backed by a highly operationally oriented investor, the business is being actively positioned for multiple potential exit pathways, with increasing focus on IPO readiness for its largest division alongside strategic alternatives for other segments. The CEO will initially lead the full enterprise, with the expectation of ultimately serving as CEO of the public-facing Services business.
 
This is a dual mandate: driving operational readiness and value creation while preparing the organization for market. The CEO will be responsible for elevating performance across three distinct business units, instilling greater operating discipline, consistency & accountability and ensuring the company is structurally and operationally prepared for external scrutiny. In parallel, the CEO will partner closely with the sponsor to shape the investor narrative, support transaction planning and lead external engagement through a potential IPO process or other strategic outcomes.
 
The role requires both enterprise leadership and a hands-on approach to leadership development and execution. The CEO will act as a senior integrator across the platform while actively coaching and elevating a capable but under-optimized leadership team, ensuring alignment, pace and performance across the organization.
 
The ideal candidate is a seasoned CEO, Group President or senior enterprise leader with 20+ years of experience leading complex, global industrial services organizations with multi-business unit accountability. A track record of driving EBITDA expansion, improving operating performance and leading businesses through periods of transformation is essential. Experience operating within private equity-backed environments or similarly demanding ownership structures is strongly preferred.
 
Candidates must bring a combination of operational credibility and external-facing leadership capability, including experience engaging investors, shaping market narratives and participating in strategic transactions such as IPOs, carve-outs or divestitures. The successful executive will demonstrate strong commercial instincts, financial acumen and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment, with the leadership presence to quickly build trust with stakeholders, boards and investors.
