Position Summary:

The Chief Information Officer, reporting directly to the CEO, is responsible for spearheading the Information Services department and overseeing all facets of Information Technology to ensure effective, efficient and secure operations of all systems. This role entails guiding strategic alignment with business objectives, encompassing areas such as business systems and processes, infrastructure design and engineering, and management of service provider contracts. Additionally, the CIO will be accountable for the oversight of electronic medical records (EMR), billing systems, back-office operations, data infrastructure, and analytics platforms, help desk and support services, communication systems, and the implementation of strategies for cyber risk mitigation.
 

The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 15 years of comprehensive experience in information technology, with a significant portion of this experience in a leadership role within healthcare organizations. They should have a deep understanding and expertise in healthcare IT systems, particularly in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), healthcare data management, and system interoperability. A successful track record in improving workflow performance, establishing standard operating procedures, and implementing workflow automation to boost efficiency is essential. Experience with EMR systems is a must, especially in the context of integration with networks such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, supporting government audits at an enterprise-wide scale, and ensuring stringent security measures.
