POSITION SUMMARY
The Head of Technology position is for a private equity-backed specialty bakery company with multiple manufacturing facilities across North America, reporting to the CFO. The role requires leading an enterprise-wide ERP implementation, managing outsourced IT service providers and building business intelligence and data infrastructure to support performance analytics across the organization’s recently consolidated and acquired bakery operations. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in manufacturing or multi-site industrial environments, with proven expertise in ERP implementations, MSP management, BI platforms and M&A systems integration. This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership role requiring the ability to influence senior leadership, translate business needs into technology strategy and drive digital transformation including AI initiatives in a mid-market, operationally intensive setting.
Our placement most recently served as Director of IT at a $200 million testing and certification organization, leading technology across eight divisions with focus on ERP rationalization and process standardization. With over 25 years of IT leadership experience, they previously consolidated seven ERPs into one at a publicly traded electrical manufacturer and built the IT department from scratch at a food manufacturing startup, establishing all core systems and infrastructure. Their career spans multiple manufacturing and industrial companies with expertise in ERP implementations, M&A technical integration, digital transformation and leading geographically dispersed teams through a hands-on, practical leadership approach.
