Position Summary:

The Executive Vice President, Head of Compliance, oversees people, processes, and procedures to ensure the bank’s compliance with regulations, including the CFPB. This role leads enhancements to mitigate risk, increase efficiencies, and improve the functionality of all operating units. The bank’s leadership has removed the compliance team out of risk and with BSA/AML it now reports to the Vice Chairman of the bank. As this integration continues, bringing together the two platforms and centralizing compliance are paramount.

 

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12+ years of experience in the financial industry, with the bulk of that experience in community and commercial banking. They should also have a minimum of five years of compliance leadership experience, which should include defining and executing a compliance framework within a community or regional bank, leading a small team, working enterprise wide and coordinating across all lines of business with the appropriate leadership. The candidate should be detail-oriented, hands-on, objective, and adaptable to prevent future compliance challenges.
