Position Summary:

 
The Chief Executive Officer will lead the company’s strategic direction, operational performance, and financial health, reporting to the Board of Directors. This hands-on executive will guide an operations-intensive, perishable goods distribution business through its next phase of growth, balancing daily execution with long-term strategy. Key priorities include integrating two operating units under a unified culture, strengthening customer and vendor relationships, improving margin and working capital performance, and ensuring disciplined financial management. The role also includes identifying and integrating acquisitions to support scalable, profitable growth.
 
The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of leadership experience within perishable food distribution, including senior P&L ownership in a middle-market environment. This results-driven leader has a proven track record delivering profitable growth through operational rigor, pricing discipline, purchasing strategy, and strong vendor and customer relationships. They are highly analytical, action-oriented, and experienced managing leveraged businesses while building and retaining high-performing teams. Experience supporting acquisition diligence and integration is essential, with Northeast market exposure considered a plus.
